SPHERE celebrated the Olivier Rousteing and Johnnie Walker Vault at Harrods at the ultra-cool launch hosted at The Chancery Rosewood, where style and innovation were perfectly blended. Welcomed by the captivating beats of famed DJ, Honey Dijon, the event marked the debut of the Couture Blend Collection, ushering in a bold new era of creative collaboration.

Inside the rooftop Eagle Bar at the top of The Chancery London, London's most anticipated luxury hotel, SPHERE's Lisa Barnard discovered exactly why this union in craftsmanship and creativity is unlike any other. During an evening featuring a glittering guest list and whisky tasting experiences, including Johnnie Walker Blue cocktails, the creative zeitgeist behind the collection, Olivier Rousteing, reflected on his partnership with Johnnie Walker, stating, 'My work with Johnnie Walker Vault is about breaking boundaries, between couture and whisky, tradition and reinvention.'

As Mark Twain once said, "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." This new limited-edition whisky collection marks the second chapter of Olivier Rousteing and Johnnie Walker’s partnership – with two masters of their own respective crafts united in their pursuit of timeless artistry.

Paying homage to heritage while embracing innovation, this creation, born from the work of Master Blender, Dr Emma Walker, and beloved designer, Olivier Rousteing, stands to prove how the world of whisky continues to be elevated through bespoke craftsmanship.

The collection is brought to life inside the landmark of luxury that is Harrods, home of the Johnnie Walker Vault Boutique. Standing as a temple to whisky-lovers, the boutique offers a variety of immersive experiences, available until the 25th of October, well worth boasting about. From expert-led tasting sessions to the unveiling of bespoke and exclusive products, every detail has been meticulously crafted to create a space that echoes the artistry and innovation at the heart of the Couture Blend.
A Whisky Matured in Legacy and Design: The Couture Blend
The message conveyed through this collection is one that pays homage to legacy while celebrating innovation. Dr Walker shared how Rousteing's creative journey was integral in creating the Couture Blend and seeing the "world of whisky in a new way".

Master Blender Emma Walker told SPHERE: "I was very much inspired by Olivier’s story of progress over the last forty years, from his early years of self‑discovery to his modern‑day unapologetic and daring approach to creativity."
Leaning into the boundaries and resting upon the legacy of the house, Dr Walker carefully selected ten whiskies from the Vault liquid library, composed of 500 rare whiskies. The blend brings together ghost whiskies of historic distilleries and avant-garde malts from the 1980s and 1990s. The result is a whisky that is rich in history and completely original in its curation, with each sip unearthing the layers of craftsmanship.

Like the story behind this grand creation comes the grandeur of its decanter, designed by Olivier Rousteing, that recognises the reimagining of tradition and a call to attention to the future.

The Couture Blend Decanter is a nod towards the signature Johnnie Walker square code. Held in pure crystal and gold, with a new body featuring prominent shoulders and offered in limited locations, the decanter reflects the signature tailoring of Rousteing while reimagining the Walker house’s heritage design.
The collection also features a Couture Flask, which has divine functionality and is the epitome of how design continues to elevate. Wearable as a crossbody piece, the Couture Flask reimagines both style and spirits.
