Set in the most glamorous backdrop in the world, Monaco Yacht Show 2023 was a hubbub of activity. There were nearly 600 exhibitors from all corners of the yacht sector, 117 superyachts and 45 yachts just launched in 2023 were on display. SPHERE went aboard the Show and here we present some highlights of Monaco Yacht Show 2023.
Among many exhibitors, it was great to get updates from Burgess, Edmiston, Fraser and the main sponsor watch brand Richard Mille. We were delighted to see ILN client PrivatSea, experts in yacht management, based in Athens. It was wonderful to visit their offices, just across from MYS and with a bird’s eye view of the port. I was inspired to meet yacht designer, Theodoros Fotiadis, who they collaborate with.
As well as the main yacht companies, brokers and charterers, I spent a fair bit of time in Parvis Piscine. Here you get an insight into the latest trends in yacht interiors. It was fantastic to spend some time with Nic Alexandre, MD of Savoir Beds (and waft on top of a luxury bed conceived for the Savoy Hotel), Ruth Douglas, MD of Heirlooms Fine Linens, gorgeous bed linens and The Rug Company (where my Repetto pumps happened to match the bespoke wavy rug).
