Must-have: Maison Chaumet’s medallion jewellery designs
26th May 2020
With a choice of Jeux de Liens Harmony or Légende styles, the Parisian house’s winning creations come with punchy colours and adjustable looks
The Jeux de Liens Harmony range has subverted the classic circle motif with a playful asymmetric twist, complete with a split two-part medallion joined by crossed link detailing that represents the union of two people. With their adjustable chain, necklaces are made to be layered, while the gold side of the medallion can also be engraved for a bespoke touch. Rose gold shapes each design, along with brilliant-cut diamonds, onyx and mother-of-pearl depending on which look you choose.
Meanwhile, the limited-edition Légende medallions were created to mark Chaumet’s 240th anniversary as well as the reopening of its hôtel particulier, 12 Place Vendôme, earlier this year. In the signature spirit of the house’s transformable jewellery, these medallions are reversible and can be worn on both sides. The collection is comprised of 29 styles symbolising key emblems from Chaumet’s heritage. For instance, the 12mm Medallions Joséphine pieces come in rose gold with sculpted carnelian, lapis lazuli or malachite, while the 18mm Medallions Dentelle de Laurier creations are detailed with rubies, sapphires or diamonds.
