In a rather unexpected case of life imitating art, tomorrow Chaumet will release a sparkling new collection inspired by winter in Siberia (a concept us Londoners are rather familiar with on this snowy week in the capital, given the effect of the 'Beast from the East'). Referencing the unique colours and delicate textures of Siberia's coldest season, these elegant pieces combine natural world aesthetics with Chaumet's trademark flair.
Chaumet launches Promenades Imperiales jewellery range
28th February 2018
Chaumet pays homage to the beauty of the Siberian winter with the release of a new 11-piece jewellery collection, exclusive to the Harrods Fine Jewellery Room
Amongst the 11-piece Promenades Imperiales range, one standout is the white and pink gold transformable necklace complete with two pale orange Padparadscha sapphires, weighing 16.31 and 9.03 carats respectively. The sapphires echo the colour of snow illuminated by the sun at dusk, while the oval-cut, brilliant-cut and marquise diamonds are suggestive of the crystalline glint of sun-touched snow.
There are also a number of rings in white gold, some crafted with azure blue cushion-cut ceylan sapphires set with marquise and brilliant-cut diamonds - others feature orange sapphires in place of the blue. Additionally, a latticed cut-diamond bracelet comes with a pale orange sapphire.
Delicate brooches and intricate earrings complete the collection, each designed in a subtle homage to the shape of snowflakes with orange and blue sapphires mixed with cut diamonds. Though the weather outside is frightful, these new jewellery pieces offer a delightful way to see the true beauty of winter.
The Chaumet Promenades Imperiales collection will be available exclusively at Harrods from 1-8 March. For more details, visit chaumet.com.
