With many of us spending more time at home than ever before, it’s no surprise that loungewear sales have gone through the roof this year. Now, Dior is getting in on the act with its inaugural capsule collection dedicated entirely to casual, comfy clothing made to wear around the house. However, this is Dior we’re talking about, so pieces are suitably fashion-led – no baggy knits or shapeless joggers here.
Soft launch: Dior reveals debut loungewear range
24th November 2020
Conceived during lockdown, the Dior Chez Moi capsule collection is comprised of comfort-focused yet super-stylish designs to enjoy wearing at home
Crafted to celebrate the “art of living at home in style” and “the gentle way of life”, the collection includes pyjama sets, elegant bathrobes and cosy ponchos that can be worn inside and out.
Creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri is said to have come up with the styles during lockdown. She enlisted the talents of Italian artist Pietro Ruffo, who revisited his signature zodiac motifs – Christian Dior was well-known for his superstitious nature – to create a world map that links earth and heavens, land masses and stars, and plants and animals. The result is an effortlessly easy-to-wear range that brings something a little special to another working day at home.
