The Sneaker is Dead: Long Live Crockett & Jones

Long-time fans of Crockett & Jones, be wary. Glencoe is a modern day take on Crockett & Jones Antarctic boot first worn by Sir Ernest Shackleton in 1914, and named in honour of the explorer’s long affiliation with Scotland. The dark brown scotch grain boot features a shearling lined leg and tongue, 378 last, rubber cleated sole, and storm collar. This is a serious boot, and definitely takes the crown as their most extreme winter boot to date. £590.

Indiana is an apron fronted derby in dark brown rough-out suede, and it's the epitome of an everyday winter boot. Taking its cues from the classic American design, Indiana is crafted in a tough, uncompromising waxed suede which boasts water-resistant properties and is cut slightly higher on the ankle, with hook and eyelet laces for a snug fit. £470.

Indiana’s chunky cleated rubber sole is ready for all terrains and shared by the Denver, a Derby version of the Indiana made using the same 378 boot last but cut lower for utmost versatility. This height of the chunky-sole, makes it an easy transition for former sneaker wearers, to balance their silhouette. £430

The Molton meanwhile, will undoubtedly be familiar to eagle-eyed James Bond fans. Its dark brown sibling became a Crockett & Jones bestseller after being worn by 007 in Norway in No Time To Die. For AW22, it returns in a striking black rough-out suede complete with Dainite rubber sole and notched storm welt. £415

First introduced in 1953, the Chiltern, a plain front three eyelet Chukka Boot set on a Dainite rubber sole, is one of the oldest and most iconic boots within Crockett & Jones collection. Constructed using three pieces of outer material – inside quarter, outside quarter and vamp with a low-cut leg, Chiltern is now offered in Snuff, Earth Green and Dark Brown Suede making it the perfect all rounder boot for any season. £410.
