Memorably, in 2018, the tailoring specialist’s eponymous founder Jeremy Hackett designed the interiors for an exclusive Rapide S car alongside the marque’s Q by Aston Martin bespoke service, applying Hackett’s refined aesthetic to everything from Prince of Wales check fabric seats to light blue flannel sun visors that were colour-coordinated with the exterior paintwork.
As part of the marque’s long-awaited — and highly fêted — return to Grand Prix racing in spring 2021, Hackett was announced as the official Travelwear and Officewear Supplier for the newly formed Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team. As part of the deal, Hackett is responsible for styling everyone from high-profile driving stars Sebastian Vettel and Lance Stroll through to the team principal and technicians.
Away from the racetrack, the latest style instalment of the collaboration was launched with an Aston Martin Racing by Hackett range for autumn/winter 2021/22 — and you don’t need to be an F1 winner to wear the look. Titled The Race Program, contemporary sport and leisurewear looks combine with designs inspired by the marque’s cutting-edge hypercar concepts. Shades of Jet Black and Rich Navy form the base of the colour palette, complete with graphic grey accents, metallic trims and sportive pops of Hypa Blue and Green. Crafted for easy layering, key styles include graphic tees, stretch polo shirts, slim-fit tracksuits and the Ultra Elements rain jacket. Technical detailing such as heat taping adds extra athletic flair, while colour blocking and engineered silhouettes reinforce the athletic theme.
