Park Hyatt London Riverside Apartments Host Pre-Launch Event

A selection of 103 Park Hyatt branded riverside apartments in London are soon to launch at One Nine Elms. Part of the first Park Hyatt Hotel in the UK, the magnificent homes will offer residents full access to this storied hotel’s luxury amenities, elevating this riverside location to one of London’s most sought-after areas.

The first completions in early 2024 put 5-star living at Park Hyatt London River Thames Residences at the centre of the city's riverside renaissance.

The 42 storey One Nine Elms is connected to its taller neighbour the River Park Tower, which rises to 57 storeys, by a stunning glazed bridge. The new towers are among the tallest residential buildings in Europe.

London has never seen anything like these two new landmark residential buildings, among Europe’s tallest, which are visible on the skyline from the Palace of Westminster.

The development by R&F Properties (UK) is part of the inspiring regeneration scheme transforming the historic Nine Elms quarter of central London into an ultra-connected neighbourhood fit for the 21st century.

Rising majestically above the Thames with spectacular views over the capital’s most iconic landmarks, the gleaming 42 storey Park Hyatt London River Thames Residences at One Nine Elms offers residents a peerless opportunity for exclusive high-rise living in the heart of the city.

Park Hyatt London River Thames Residences is connected to its neighbour the River Park Tower, which rises to 57 storeys, by a stunning glazed bridge, creating a strong bond of community between these two new London landmarks.

“Nine Elms is undoubtedly the most exciting new neighbourhood in central London, and Park Hyatt London River Thames Residences represents its most premium residential offering,” says Guan Zhixiong, chairman at R&F Properties (UK).

When it comes to location, Nine Elms local and international transport links make London living seamless. Vauxhall and Nine Elms Underground stations are six minutes away on foot, while the Thames River Bus – moments away at St George’s Pier, Vauxhall - can whisk residents to Canary Wharf in less than 45 minutes, and to Westminster Pier in just 10 minutes. Artist Charlie Whinney has created the installation which adorns the entrance to the Park Hyatt Hotel within One Nine Elms. The bespoke piece, named Ebb and Flow in honour of the Thames, is a celebration of both Nine Elms’ history and its new status as a cultural landmark.

On entering the lobby, where valet parking is offered, residents will be met by a stunning installation by rising-star Charlie Whinney, an artist best known for his eco-friendly sculptures created from steam-bent wood. The bespoke piece, named Ebb and Flow in honour of the Thames, is a celebration of both Nine Elms’ history and its new status as a cultural landmark.

Four styles of home will exist within Park Hyatt London River Thames Residences at One Nine Elms: one, two and three-bedroom apartments, plus larger penthouses. Each apartment will show off the architecture, location, views and gardens that represent the Park Hyatt experience.

The interior design schemes created by Angel O’Donnell cleverly reflect the versatility of the spaces, while showcasing the ability to take on different colours, textures and silhouettes, and in turn appeal to a melting pot of ages, cultures and tastes.

The two-bedroom apartment at Park Hyatt London River Thames Residences draws inspiration from the landscaped gardens of Linear Park below, which runs from One Nine Elms alongside the river towards Battersea Power Station.

“With the Park Hyatt London River Thames Residences, we are creating something that has not been seen before in the more established areas of London. Something that perhaps would become synonymous with Nine Elms and the dynamic entrepreneurial buyers that we feel would be moving into this area,” says Maria Mallalieu, Design Principal at 1508, who developed the design and spatial flow of the apartments for Park Hyatt.

A visit to the four show apartments on the 29th and 31st floors, showcased at the pre-launch event in June, revealed soothing, luxurious spaces curated by London-based interior design studio Angel O’Donnell, who worked with an array of British artisans including Tom Faulkner, Martelo & Mo, and George Smith to realise the distinctive atmosphere for each style of residence.

All bathrooms at Park Hyatt London River Thames Residences gleam with hand cut marble and the subtle shimmer of gold.

“The one-bed was treated to a little East Asian-inspired tranquillity,” says Ed O’Donnell, co-founder and creative director of Angel O’Donnell.  “The development is on the eastern edge of the Nine Elms regeneration, so it felt appropriate to create a scheme full of soft neutrals, clean lines, low-slung furniture, and a variety of natural materials.”

The two-bedroom apartment draws inspiration from the landscaped gardens of Linear Park which runs from One Nine Elms alongside the river towards Battersea Power Station. This, says O’Donnell, “sparked ideas for densely embroidered fabrics, floral prints, earthy hues, and organic shapes and surfaces.”

The spacious three-bedroom apartment at Park Hyatt London River Thames Residences features detailing inspired by private members clubs, honouring the buildings panoramic views towards the city and Canary Wharf.

The spacious three-bedroom apartment has a more tailored look – welt stitching, tufted leather, burgundy walls – in honour of Park Hyatt’s vast views towards the City and Canary Wharf.

“We’re particularly fond of the primary suite in the three-bedroom apartment,” says O’Donnell. “The precision of the lines speaks of old-school tailoring, while the berry richness of the red leather hand-stitched headboard feels cosy and sumptuous, like you’re cocooned inside a private members club.”

The penthouse at Park Hyatt London River Thames Residences features a huge roof terrace complete with its own outdoor bar offering spectacular views along the Thames towards the city.

Finally, the crowning glory - a sub-penthouse complete with a huge roof terrace. “This sexy, capacious, next-level apartment was crying out for theatrical contours, bright hues and a bevy of bespoke features,” says O’Donnell who included an outdoor bar, indoor fireplace, and a beautifully crafted cigar room in the space.

The design scheme means each space boasts oak flooring, plush carpets, and the latest technology in heating and atmospheric lighting. Bathrooms gleam with hand cut marble and the subtle shimmer of gold.

Journey from one room to the next – even from one apartment to the next – and you feel compelled to luxuriate in the hand-crafted attention to detail given to each space.

Walking into these spaces is to be transfixed by the mesmeric panoramic views of the London skyline gifted to the living and bedroom spaces which is framed and expressed from every floor-to-ceiling window.

With wow-factor views out, inside "craftsmanship is the golden thread that connects each apartment", says Ed O’Donnell.  “It could be the allure of a sinuously curved armchair. The soft warmth of an aniline-leather bedside. The aromatic fragrance of a walnut dressing table. Or the swoosh of a soft-close drawer. These things are sensorially arresting, so that when you journey from one room to the next – even from one apartment to the next – you feel compelled to luxuriate in each space, run your fingers across different surfaces and imbibe a wealth of stimuli.”

As one of the major draws of branded residences, homeowners here will have access to all the 5-star amenities offered by the Park Hyatt, including their pool and spa. Residents will also have access to a choice of dining options (an à la carte or Asian restaurant, plus a wine bar), room service, a residents-only terrace with a children’s play area, and a 19th-floor residents’ lounge, which will serve as a space for both work and socialising.

Housekeeping, childcare, dry cleaning, party planning and flower delivery is also available, and all from the privacy of your own spectacular home. Does it get better than that?
