Renowned in the world of fine spirits for its pioneering tequilas, Maestro Dobel has just added another string to its bow with the launch of Maestro Dobel 50 1•9•6•9. An ultra-rare limited edition, this hand-crafted Extra Añejo tequila has been made with top-quality tequilas aged in American and French white oak barrels, before being matured in Sauternes casks personally selected from the private cellar of Juan Domingo "Dobel" Beckmann, the brand's 11th generation Master Blender.
As the name suggests,1•9•6•9 commemorates landmark events that happened in the year 1969, including the moon landing, Woodstock, The Beatles' last live performance and, back in Mexico, the opening of the first Metro, whilst President Gustavo Díaz Ordaz opened the first homegrown factory for Mexican banknotes.
50 1•9•6•9 marks the second release from Maestro Dobel's 50 series, which celebrates inspiring happenings that took place 50 years ago. 50 1•9•6•7 marked the first iteration, launched in 2019 to much fanfare within top London bars. The brand is already a firm favourite among tequila aficionados, having innovated the world's first multi-aged Cristalino tequila, as well as the first ever smoked silver tequila.
