Town House at The Kensington presents Robert Burns Supper 2018
Bringing a taste of Scotland to Kensington, Town House at The Kensington is hosting a truly traditional affair in celebration of Burns Night. Guests are invited to indulge in a three-course set menu featuring traditional plates such as Cullen skink, a dish of smoked haddock and poached quail egg, naturally followed by haggis with bashed neeps and tatties. For the full Scottish experience opt for the whisky-pairing menu, and sample drams of Scotland’s finest spirits such as Octomore 8.3, Bruichladdich Distillery’s heavily peated, five-year-old whisky.
The Glenfiddich Burns Night Experiment
To celebrate the great bard, Glenfiddich Whisky is hosting its own Burns Night Experiment, in collaboration with Adam Handling, chef and owner of Frog by Adam handling and Scout’s Matt Whiley. Challenging tradition, the single malt Scotch whisky brand is offering an evening of alternative performances and a menu featuring experimental dishes such as lamb and haggis wellingtons and Scottish mackerel. Washed down with creative cocktails such as the Glenfiddich IPA Experiment made with sloe berry and juniper ferment the evening is set to be a jolly occasion.
Burns Night at 108 Brasserie
This Burns Night event at 108 Brasserie in The Marylebone Hotel comprises of a three-course dinner created by Executive Chef Russell Ford. In true Scottish style the menu kicks off with a Cullen Skink starter and a main of haggis fittingly served with whisky sauce. For pudding, a twist on the Caledonian chip-shop classic - battered Mars Bar with honeycomb ice cream is served. To top it all off, every course is paired with a carefully selected whisky.
Robert Burns at HIX restaurants
An evening of Scottish fare can be savored in celebration of Robert Burns at various HIX restaurants across town. At HIX Soho, sharing plates of Scottish fare are served along with a Scottish cocktail, made with such ingredients as Monkey Shoulder whisky, Temperley’s ice cider and oatmeal brose. Meanwhile, HIX’s Tramshed and Hixter are offering the obligatory Burns Night haggis, neeps and tatties.
Burns Night at the Bloomsbury Club Bar
For a more energetic Burns soirée head to the Bloomsbury Club Bar for a Burns Night party. Throughout the evening, guests will be treated to live music and a unique Talisker Whisky cocktail menu. Small plates will feature quirky twists on traditional Scottish fare, including an Iron-Bru sorbet (a great way to cool down after the Talisker Hot Toddy) and Neep and Tatty croquettes.
