[Sur]Naturel: The new high jewellery range from Cartier

Luxury jewellers often look to the natural world for inspiration in their designs, but with its new [Sur]Naturel collection Cartier takes the idea one step further, infusing high jewellery pieces with a supernatural, reality-defying twist. Figurative motifs are elevated with abstracted aesthetics to create standout creations with a statement-making appeal. 

Sparkling diamonds, sapphires and emeralds create motifs relating to animals, plants and water, juxtaposed with semi-precious combinations such as beryl and quartz, opal and kunzite, and aquamarine and coral to form intriguing combinations of colour and depth. 

Key pieces include the Hemis necklace, modelled after panther fur, and the snake-inspired Opheis necklace [pictured at top], while the Sinopé ring captures the organic shape of water.
