A pioneer of the farm-to-table movement, Rogan’s restaurants include Aulis and Roganic in London, as well as L’Enclume in the Lake District. Here, the chef reveals his Marylebone hotspots

La Fromagerie

2-6 Moxon St, Marylebone, W1U 4EW

This cheese shop is packed full of amazing produce, including fruit, vegetables and wines. I sometimes stop by to browse their amazing selection of British cheeses.

Marylebone Famers’ Market

Aybrook St, Marylebone, W1U 4DF

This charming farmers’ market pops up in Cramer Street car park every Sunday. They have excellent seasonal stalls, with some only appearing once a month.

The Monocle Café

18 Chiltern St, Marylebone, W1U 7QA

This is a tiny café that serves great coffee (although they also do a very nice G&T if you fancy something a bit stronger). They haven’t got Wi-Fi so it’s the perfect place to switch off.

Carousel

71 Blandford St, Marylebone, W1U 8AB

This is a brilliant restaurant that I go to when I’m in the mood for something different. Carousel hosts chefs for residencies, who work alongside Head Chef Ollie Templeton and his team to create a bespoke set menu for their residency.

Portman Square Garden

Portman Square, W1h 6LT

This is a beautiful private park. It’s only open to the public very occasionally but definitely worth a visit when it is. I come here when I need a moment of peace and quiet.

Jikoni

19 - 21 Blandford St, Marylebone, W1U 3DG

This is a small, bright restaurant with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I would go there just for the banana cake - it’s the ultimate comfort food.

Trishna

15-17 Blandford St, Marylebone, London W1U 3DG

One of my favourite restaurants in Marylebone – they do an incredible vegetarian tasting menu. It’s a great place for a celebratory meal.

Daylesford Organic

 6-8 Blandford St, Marylebone, London W1U 4AU

For local seasonal ingredients, Daylesford is the place to go. If I'm in a rush, I'll grab one of their soups to have at home before a busy shift.
