Season’s eatings: Discover the top festive hampers of 2020
2nd December 2020
With offerings from London's finest (think cocktail bars, luxury hotels and Fortnum & Mason), we round up some of the best F&B hampers on the market this year
Party Starter Hamper
Harvey Nicks always does Christmas well, and after a year like this most of us will probably jump at the chance to let loose with a party-themed hamper. Fizz features, naturally, as does small batch gin, flavoured tonic waters and crisp white wine. A bottle of limited-edition blood orange and clove negroni offers a seasonal twist on the classic, while nibbles offer something for everyone with sweet or spicy flavours.

Fondue Hamper for Four Guests
Colette - aka Chelsea's favourite deli - has a number of different hampers on offer this year, but given that most ski plans are on hold right now, the fondue one has particular appeal. Ideal for an intimate festive get-together, there are Swiss-seasoned Raclette AOC du Valais and Gruyère de Bagnes included, as well as saucissons, charcuterie, various veggies and seasoned sourdough cubes. Best enjoyed post-nightfall next to a roaring fire.
£100 (plus a refundable £60 fondue deposit), colette.co.uk
A Little Box of Heckfield
Containing a delightful assortment of goodies from one of our favourite Hampshire hotels, much of Heckfield Place's festive offering is certifiably organic and sourced from its 438-acre estate. Alongside gingerbread syrup, plum pudding and hedgerow gin, there are also scented floral toiletries, a moon calendar and a short story by Louisa Thomsen Brits.

Brindisa Christmas Hamper
If you'd like a change from the same old English fare, Brindisa's Spanish-inspired hamper comes with you need for a real Mediterranean feast. Meat-eaters will rejoice at the selection of Senorio iberico jamons and chorizos, while cheeses feature in the form of Pastura with truffles and a semi-cured Manchego. Nibbles, sweets and wines also feature.

The Imperial Hamper
The daddy of all hampers. Featuring a veritable cornucopia of food and drink to take you and your loved ones from Christmas morning through to late-night drinks, this whopper from Fortnum & Mason is actually comprised of five separate hampers. Edible treats include Scottish smoked salmon, a whole Christmas ham, traditional Stilton and a panettone, while booze ranges from wine and fizz through to port and cognac.
