Rémy Martin has brought together a stellar team, including artisan ceramicist Reiko Kaneko and The Connaught’s Ago Perrone, to create a show-stopping seasonal cocktail. The Flint is a lip-tingling mixture of Remy Martin XO, lacto-fermented melon, Chartreuse and pink pomelo soda. The result is a gloriously fresh tipple, served ice cold in a rather stunning bespoke cup made by the talented Kaneko in her workshop in north London. The drink was dreamt up by Ago Perrone and head of Mixology, Georgio Bargiani.
Inspired by the elements of cognac production, the team spent a day in Reiko’s atelier, experimenting with ideas and techniques, using grapevines leaves, chalk stone and other materials that reference the terroir and provenance of Rémy Martin. The vessels are crafted from black bone china and imprinted with Ago’s and Giorgio’s signatures at the bottom.
