As the days get shorter and colder, and we begin to seek refuge in cosy layers, one thing is clear – the summer of 2019 is sadly over (as few would deny in this incessant wet weather). In a last warm-weather hurrah, Château Minuty recently partnered with the Chucs restaurant group on a very special “End of Summer” dinner at Chucs Café South Kensington, inviting guests to sample delectable seasonal fare and that most summery of beverages – Provence rosé. Chucs’ relaxed yet chic Italian-inspired setting proved the ideal location to bid goodbye to summer for another year.
End of summer: A special dinner with Chucs x Château Minuty
8th October 2019
Celebrating the end of the warmer months for another year, a seasonally inspired event took place at Chucs Café Kensington with summery food and top-notch rosé
After a relaxed reception of canapés and rosé-infused cocktails al fresco on Chucs’ wraparound terrace (luckily, the sunshine held), a four-course bespoke menu was served, each paired with a different Minuty wine.
For starters, there was a choice of English rose veal or a vegetarian-approved carpaccio of grezzina and trombetta courgette, each working perfectly with a chilled glass of delicate Minuty Prestige. The more robust and aromatic Château Minuty Rosé et Or stood up to a perfectly cooked dish of roast Cornish monkfish (or equally, to the summer vegetable ragout). Lastly, a creamy vanilla panna cotta arrived, offset by Italian peaches and served with Château Minuty 281, the very finest rosé in Minuty’s arsenal using fruit from its best Grenache vines.
Tea, coffee and petits fours followed, alongside a goody bag containing a miniature Château Minuty and a jaunty hat to take home. Here’s to summer 2020.
